‘A’ Level Results
Welling School were delighted with our 2009 ‘A’ level results, which have improved again this year.
98% of our students gained A-E grade, with 43% achieving A-B grade and 70% of students gaining an A-C pass.
Particular outstanding highlights are Laura Lloyd gaining 3 ‘A’ levels at A grade and a place at the Ruskin School of Drawing, Oxford University.
Si Pui Tuong achieved 4 ‘A’ levels at A grade, George Jones achieved 3 ‘A’ level grades at A grade and George Dunsford, Grace Hodder,
John O’Grady and Bobbie Connolly , achieving 3 ‘A’ levels at AAB grade.
“We are delighted with the ‘A’ level examination results says Headteacher Diane Khanna. The students have worked incredibly hard and we are very proud of them all. Our examination results are testament to the recent Ofsted Inspection which recognised the overall effectiveness of the sixth form as good with standards particularly high in many of the Arts subjects. “
GCSE Results
We are also very pleased with our GCSE results, which show outstanding progress. 52% of pupils achieved 5 GCSE’s at A*- C grade. This figure represents an 18% point increase from last year. 97% of pupils achieved 5 GCSE’s at A*-G grade, showing a 9% point increase from last year.
Outstanding highlights include Hayley Morris 11 GCSE’s 5A’s, 5B’s 1 C grades, Tony Yau 11 GCSE’s 2A*,3 B’s,6 C grades, Gemma Banham 10 GCSE’s 2A’s,4B’s, 4C grades, Molly Baxter 10 GCSE’s 1 A*,7 A’s, 1B, 1 C grades and Alex Tanner 11 GCSE’s 1 A*, 5A’s, 4B’s, 1 C grades.
