Welcome to Welling School Parent Teachers Association web site, which has been created to provide parents, staff and students with up to date information on the Association's activities and to advertise forthcoming events. The purpose of this site is to circulate information about all aspects of life at Welling School to parents, pupils and teachers. We also aim to contribute to the school community by fund-raising and organising fun events where parents, children and teachers can meet and enjoy themselves.
The aim of the PTA is to support parents and pupils in having a rewarding and fulfilling time whilst at Welling, both academically and socially. We aim to do this by:
1. Fostering relations between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.
2. Engaging in activities which support the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it.
Equally as importantly we will not:
• involve ourselves with the day to day running of the school or of the teaching system
• be concerned with the problems of individual children
UNWANTED UNIFORM?
Our children grow so fast it’s sometimes difficult to keep up with them. The PTA are asking parents to donate any school uniform, PE kit or coats/jackets etc. (in good condition), which have been outgrown and are no longer needed.
Clothes donated will be cleaned, pressed and will be held for resale to pupils and parents wishing to bag a bargain.
LOOK OUT FOR US AT THE SCHOOL CONSULTATION DAYS
All profit made will be spent on projects agreed by the PTA and will be for the benefit of the school and it’s pupils.
Drop the clothes off at the school office, or if you are unable to get along, why not ask you child to drop it off for you.
